    thank you all for welcome

    concerning photos of previous cars,
let me some days in order to manage some issues with work and my son who has started a new school with major effort

    pffuchser
I took R888 18" 245 with black wheels in the car,
reverve back seats and they fir also with jackstand, a box for tools and a sack for my stuffs
really nice car TT looking at "flexibility". With porsche or lotus you can do that but they were born for track...
in TT i can easily put my mountain bike or 2-3 pair of skis (carving less than 165cm)
    really all-round
I will be delighted to met you on NOS next year in order to try to understand your skill.
You can manage OEM disks without damage ???
Do you have dome some modification at brake set or totally OEM ???

    @PremiumPerformance
    Thanks for welcome.
The reason for mobile wing is this:
    1. i'm not sure or what wing can give the bigger downforce; the angle of mobile is greater than big-wing, but the position of big one can be better.
    2. Audi give you preice Zero for mobile wing that is really hard to put aftermarket. Instead big-one can be easily bought and installed.
The second one is the major reason to do that on a new car to be ordered.
I like the big one and I think i will look for a bigger one in the web, to be installed in certain meetings or tracks
(look, not real necessity or performance....)

    I remember.
Big care about car and safety

    @Erleuchteter
I have done the run-in phase (more than 3000km) up and down round swiss mountains.
    I like very much

    @phoenixgoldzpa
The first 6 photos in nizza monferrato (land of Barbera d'asti red wine)
then after the steering wheel you can find:
corvatsch ski-station in engadina near st.moritz
then the furkapass seen from a panorama park
then the gothard pass with low clouds
then a typical swiss snack: bratwurst und brot

    lot of wonderful places switzerland.

i will go to do a last pass-tour next saturday before they close the pass-roads for winter season

If you like I can give you some "tours description for swiss pass"; there is a standard famous tour of 10 passes in 2 days.

    Corsaro:
    thanks and ciao.

    @all:
i think i will do some little wotk during this winter on TTRS (as pe TTs experience)
since i can't remap (till someone will discover how not to loose warranty)
    I 'm thinking to do:
    - Intercooler: not for performance but to reduce a little temperature and stress for turbo
    - Exhaust: milltek suggest me to do only first cat bypass and not turbo-back (if i do not remap); and then cat back res. or not.res (but i do not want to loose original sound; what do you suggest ???)
    - front brakes.... i can mount my omnicompetition BBK, but i want to try to use front OEM caliper. Suggestions ???

    then 4 things "for fun":
    1. try to separate the opening-closing of left exhaust from sport button.
so, in my dream RS must work always with 2 exit, when i need (city or highway) i can press a button and close left one. in this way sport button is only technical things (MR, steering, throttle). Can be possible this ??? Someone knows if there is a trick or a special product to do this ??

    2. a big-big rear wing (similar to gt3-rs....)

    3. a front hood like TTRS gt4 VLN:
i've found one from crashed tt...
i think that copying holes of official udi VLN can help engine temperature.
obviously I thing to do smaller holes, but:
    - someone knows if wngine and turbo position of VLN is the same of our RS ???
    - someone has detailed pics of the vLN hood ???

    4. steering wheel, gearbox handle and dashboard roof in dark-grey-alcantara as per doors, seats and looking like porsche gt3 and bmw 1M.
    i always loved gt3 steering...

I know, this are stupid things, but i want to do some little and completely reversible things to my car,
    without using original parts
Do someone know if a member is selling these parts or there is some crashed TT to but parts ???

    thanks everyone.

    :)

    @premiumperformance:
    thanks for support and suggestion.
    done !
TTRS s.tronic (nickname: ül fünf) - by R-power

    pffuchser:
i'm really pleased to read about you.
    You're completely right.
    I must not hurry:
    - i'm not a real driver
    - BTG is open to everybody (a lot of big crash during the 2 w.end and some directly in next video i will upload)
    - TTrs is not a racecar
    - racing is not my job: i go to NOS for holiday and relax. No one pay for my laps and i will pay for each kind of damage by myself
    So, not hurry.
In italy we say (more or less)
a thick line between "good-job and glory" (a good lap time)
and silly&stupid and a lot of laugh of everyone (for a crash)

    orbitapproach
Matthias it was a pleasure for me to be your passenger
I was delighted looking at your lines and skill
Hoping to see You all live at NOS nexty time

    :) :)
    ;)

    Dear all,

I apologyse that i do not speak german unfortunately.
    So i write in english.
    I come from italy

I want to present to You (as I've done some weeks ago on vagoc.co.uk)
me and my last fool action.

    AUDI TTRS s.Tronic my12

    I will be involved in debts for a long period..... ahahahah :D :D ;( ;( ;(
I've just sold a wonderful TTs s.tronic that gave me a lot of fun.
But, the sound of this "strange and unusual" engine (really similar to the Walter Rohrl rally car)
get me fool for the Audi Five Cylinder (and so the nickname FUNF...)
and so moved me to do the insane action of buying the car brand new in a dealer.
(the first one "brand new" in 45 years of life....)

    I've choosen:
    - s.tronic
    - Magnetic Ride
    - suzuka grey
    - mobile wing
    - 4 years full audi warranty
    - bose & rns-e
    - plus some unuseful little things
    - 19" wheels (stock equipment in italy)

The target is the same of R32 & TTs:
all round use with little priority to gentleman track-day usage.
In italy (as per many countries) it is really unpossible (other than compeltely insane and fool) to go fast in oper roads.
also our roads (if you have verified in holidays or journeys) are closer to off-road and motocross track than roads for cars.....
So, in order to preserve drive-licence and also money and be safer,
it's better and more relaxing to do a track-day in some racetrack in italy or to have a pleasant hiliday to the nordschleife

    Previous Cars
Before of this Audi TTrs s.tronic i had:
    - tts s.tronic
    - vw R32 mk5 dsg
    - subaru spec-C my2006
    - subaru sti my2003
    - and a lot hypersport motorbikes (the last 3 were yamaha R1 2001-2005-2009)

    quickly:
    - bikes are inside my DNA but now 44y.old and a young boy 14teen, it is better to stop. Too performances, too easy to have serious, really serious injury,
so i have sold R1 and bought a used yamaha wrx250x (27hp in best weather conditions LOL !!)
    - Subaru spec.C was really "a dream". i had from Piero-Lunghi rally team. the car never did a race. It was wonderful but hard to manage (40lt tank, 4lt/km consumption both at light than on track, 500NM torque, 1150kg, no abs, no esp, direct steering....). A car for REAL DRIVER, not amatorial like me. 18months and sold with sadness but wuth an interesting income.
    - VW R32 is the best car i ever had !!! sound and power when you need. So 1750kg on less than 250hp but what a taste. She made more that 60laps at ring, almost all italian racetrack and no issue at all. So you keep 4 second from audi S3 in imola but with this slow car the goal is to drive with perfect lines... if you are obliged to reduce the throttle.. you're dead (no turbo to help you)
    - TTS was a very fast-fast car wuth wonderful chassis, in my opinion. i've just "optimized" some points that was not strong (brakes, weight), but what a car
R32 and TTS was difefrent from Spec.C.
Spec.C was a real race car, this 2 (together with TTRS) are sport cars (granturismo sportivo we say in italy)
You can go nordschleife and back home (almost 2000km) with family on saturday driving on track with interesting laptimes, do shopping there, coming back by sunday evening and on monday go to work with the same car.....
this is not for Spec.C and probably not for wonderful GT3
But with R32-TTs-TTRS you must keep under control your race-rush.

If you like I can put some photos of the previous cars.
    Let me know.

    Then THE FUNF

I'm afraid I must ask to Your SKILL and LARGE AND DEEP KNOWLEDGE some questions and informations about this car.

I've done the run-in phase of 3.000km before arriving to the rev-limit.
This can be a unuseful thing but I want to do so aniway.

I've planned with some friends to come back to nordschleife at the mid of september. The car had 4200km when i arrived at nurburg
but I do not want to try to go under 8' BTG.
I think i hev done some laps near 8.30" in order not to force too much engine and brakes and to understand the difference in handling between TTs and TTRS.

The starting mod of TTRS before September BTG were:
    - Haldex HPP gen.4
    - 18" light wheels with R888 245.40.18 (the same from TTs)
    - Recaro Sportster CS seats & Schrott belts (the same from TTs)
    - Whiteline KCA-316 antilift (the same from TTs)
    - ate superblu racing brake fluid
    - front brakes steel lines
    - OEM front brakes
    - omnicompetition rear BBK: 4pot 335x28 2pcs rotor, ferodo ds2500 (in order to reduce the effort of front brakes)
    - new motor oil mobil peak-life 5w50 (the same used for tts)
(i have left the omnicompetition front BBK 6pot+ds3000+355x32 in my garage in order to do a test with the OEM front brakes, altough NOS is not so hard with brakes at my laptimes)

    Actual Feedback on TTRS s.tronic
Feedback on the car after run-in, 2 w.ends at NOS and back home (now 6.000km total)
    - really nice car
    - all-round: if you have the possibility to drive she works for You, else you can be fully relaxed and the car will do everything (cruise, s.tronic, Rns&bose)
    - sounds good also in OEM: quiet in town and gorgeous when you can push
    - fuel consumption (also with HPP-eco mode and 7th gear) is fantastic for 340hp and 1500+kg: near 13km-l @ 130kmh

Then altough she is not a race car, seem to be manifactured for the NOS.
Oil temp come to 121°C and stops.... then when you slow down after the gantry to the gate.... it cools till 109°c.... TTs was not this way.
I've used all the suggestion of the users of vagoc. They gave to me before going to NOS and really any issue doing 33 laps

The actual 8.09 (with a stop for a crash could be approx 8.04) was done without pushing as 8.03 with TTS
The engine of RS is really fantastic

But I do not want to assume big risk and to damage OEM brakes...
so laptime can be a target for next-time NOS in spring-2012

As pfucchser said: no hurry !!!

In next posts i will link some videos of last september NOS
and then ask You suggestion for some little improvements on exhaust and brakes

    I beg You pardon for:
    - the "unsure" language property in english
    - The lenght of my written words

I hope You will help me on this wonderful car.

    Ciao
    ivo

Some photos during this Run-In up and down from Swiss Mountains and the Italian Country

    some pics in OEM config

    and some for sporty config:

    Correct.

Quite the opposite. Pictures are always welcome but it would be better if you open an introduction thread for you and your car and put them in there. Together with some of your R32, ... ;)

I would be delighted to do so.
May you inform me about what section i must use to introduce me and my cars?
German language is unknown for me, unfortunately

    Foxy
    Just single short pressure
    I' not a real driver
    These cars costs a lot
No one pay for my laps
    So better to avoid risk
I've never driven with esp off
I find esp-sport very efficient and helpful
On wet with hpp you can do fantastic turns
Without the pain of losing control...

Obviously, this is not a real and skilled way of driving
(see paal in my video following a rent-z4 on wet NOS)

So your TTS was pretty much down for racing! Sounds good! Whats "Hr arb" and "Whiteline antilift"??

I just watched your vid again: Can you explain precisely what kind of error you made on Schwedenkreuz?? Looks pretty hairy

Why did you change to TTRS considering your TTS was pretty much made for the NOS?

    Thanks

    here is replies:
    - H&R anti roll bars
    - Whiteline antilift KCA-316. They work to maintain the proper geometry of front wheels also during hard acceleration and deceleration. Really easy and cheap upgrade
    - But TTS (and also RS) was not race car (and also are not).
My TTs maintained comfort and "economy" anyway.
These are common upgrade in order to do amatorial track-days with no permanent effects on the car (brake failure or so on).
In italy is not suggested to "run on the road" (as in all countries), so if you like to feel the performance of your car, the better is the track (safer and often cheaper)
    - the error before schwedenkreutz was that the long turn on the left (done 200kmh gps) must be done pushing the gas or keeping stable. I've done the error to reduce a few the gas and the back of the car start slipping on the external side. FORTUNATELY esp sport mode and R888 has done the miracle....
    - i think that with NOS you mean nordschleife, isn't it ?
TTs was pretty good and lovely anywhere (also if never a real race car like gt3, lotus and so on), but last autumn i felt in love with 5zyl sound and new s.tronic. So altough TTs was really good and with 24k km, i've done this change.
I love RS OEM sound so much that i'm really not sure if change the exahust....

    Gstar,
here photos (please, i'm a new bie here; if photos are not allowed or too much let me know and i will delete them from topic)

If you and MOD agree i can place a topic on my VAG cars (R32, TTs, TTRS) as in other forum VAGOC.CO.UK
    Let me know
    http://vagoc.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?t=9107

    some pics in OEM config

    and some for sporty config:

    hey

What was your fastet BTG lap in your TTS (not TTRS)?? They say you managed to do it in 8.03? Is there a vid? Was the car stock?

    Thanks

EDIT: I just saw the link in your signature! TTS BTG 8:03... Still wondering what specs your TTS had?

So with tts i've done tourist btg
July 2010 in 8.14 (same time than a german guy phil on manual one)
Then april 2011 in 8.03. One further lap could be better but i was obliged to stop ona red vw passat station
Racechrono said that ideal lap was 7.52

With ttrs brand new 5k km i do not want to stress mechanic
I've done 8.09 with a slowdown for crash
    Ideal is 7.54
You can hear by engine sound and rev that this rs-september car was not stressed as april-tts
I think next spring i will try some lap time after changing downpipe and brakes

    Tts setting was:
    Full milltek 76mm non res
    Revo ecu around 300cv
    Kn filter
    Mobil peaklife 5w50
    Hpp gen4
    Toyo r888 245-18 on light 18 black aircating 9j
    Hr arb
    Whiteline antilift
    Omnicompetition front 6pot 355mm + rear 4pot 335mm with ds3000
    Recaro seats cs
    Schrott belts
With these setting the car was 70kg lighter than stock one
And lapping always with half fuel
    Really good car

    Gstar
    This evening photos,
    Now firewall
    Racechrono into navi

    Hi all
    I apologyse fir english
Unfortunately i do not know german language

I had registered on this good forum 3 weeks ago before going to ring
Looking for new friends and precious infos on the wonderful ttrs

I've done 2 weekend in ring with my new ttrs stronic (5k km done)
I've done at medium load because:
    - brand new
    - do not know yet as previous tts
    - full stock expect haldex hpp and toyi r888

I've chanded oil (mobil peaklife 5w50)
Front lines and oil brake ate superblu

I did not want to push hard in order not to stress engine and stock brakes
Mainly lapping to enjoy ring, funf by audi and check oil temperature on ring

I'm just an amatorial gentlemen driver (certainly not a profi)
But this car is really efficient !!!
On the wet with toyo and hpp and esp sport mode is really performant and safe

I have known on sunday morning your user Mathias from germany with white ttrs manual gear and mtm stickers

    Thank you all
And i hope i can contribute in this firum and learn important infos and tricks about ttrs

I' sending on my tube channel other videos

    Ciao from italy-como
